Assertion city. Tell me what "older literature" that causes doubts about "sincerity of these authors", and I'll consider it. Science makes no attempt to pit itself against god, it merely seeks to explain the world naturally rather than supernaturally. So far, it seems to have worked out well. Wouldn't you say so, using a computer build on scientific principles and powered by a grid system that depends, among other things, on nuclear fusion, quantum mechanics and other "theories"?

Evolution has been a lie from day one, period. Some of the older literature have clauses that make you think about the sincerity of these authors. Its as if they knew of their own deception. The sad thing is that there has been an attempt to pit science against the bible, and the God of the bible.

LOL...The expression "to the ends of the earth" is an expression connoting the idea that no one can hide from God. He's omnipresent. When we say our hands are tied, are they literally? Jewish cosmology, in common, not surprisingly, with other Mesopotamian civilizations, projects the Earth as a flat circular disk (google it if you don't believe me), so there is nothing at all odd about this expression, although the idea of him sitting on the edge and dangling his feet over is a bit comic. A spherical earth model, though known to classical Greeks, eluded most of Christianity until middle age times.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that many amino acids fold in relatively similar ways. Thus you can have a single letter mutation at a specific site and still get a functional protein.

Any changes to a protein which leaves the active areas unchanged probably doesn't affect the usefulness of the protein. For example, there are billions of different codings for the protein which synthesizes vitamin C in the body, but it happens that a mutation has affected the active area of the human copy, making it necessary that we get our vit-C from the environment.

It is very difficult to predict how a string of hundreds of amino acids will fold. In fact, even non-coding parts of mRNA can effect the final shape of the protein even though the amino acid sequence in preserved. But, we can make synthetic proteins and look for beneficial uses.
