What would be the better bang for the buck (long lasting with nutritional value) when looking at common items found in super markets?

(suppose your cousin calls you on his cell phone while on his way to a supermarket the day an emergency is in the opening stage when the shop is fully stocked, what should he buy?)

On most of the cans there are...one thing though...the can goods already have the water in them and do not need to be reconstituted. Start putting away things now and try them before storing them in quantity! I also save MRE rations..you can eat them cold as they have already been cooked in the pouch. There is so much to do and so little time!

I have been aware of what is to come for 28 years and have been preparing for that long! I am still not prepared and feverishly getting more stuff!

Don't forget..lots of bottled water and rotate your supplies...get quality military arms and ammo as soon as you can!

Camping supplies would be a plus as well...think of this as a extended camping trip! LOL

Losts of websites sell year supplies of dehydrated food so shop around. Most of them are all vegetarian too. The last supply I looked at was 6 months and took up the space of a washing machine. Just google food storage.
