I live in Wakayama and I've driven there. I believe it's only on one side of the road, so when I was coming back I crossed over to the wrong side of the road and played the song in reverse! lol! I wish they had this on the toll road highways!
This is damn cool, you will hear the melody only when you drive at 40km/h, this road was made to counter the increase number of road accidents. Brillant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too bad you can barely hear the tune in the video. Too much background noice. Try to use a better microphone or something next time. Or clean the audio using audio editing software.

In October 1995, two Danish artists (Steen Krarup Jensen and Jakob Freud-Magnus) created the Asphaltophone, i.e. a road that plays a melody. A Danish television channel published the world premiere, as you can see if you click my name or search Asphaltophone.
