umm let me explain what multitasking is. the pre cannot multitask. it can run several applications in background. thats it. thats all it is. muliTASKING is preforming multiple tasks simultaneously. the pre does not allow this. but idiots who hate apple for no good reason say yep thats multitasking. apple is good not amazing. im not a stupid fanboy blinded by there products. the pre is full of garbage. 'wirelessly charging' wrong. 'multitasking' wrong. pre is liars (kinda)

Multitasking is preforming multiple tasks like you said, and tasks is cpu processes. So isnt running serveral applications in the background multitasking?

The Iphone has really poor battery life. Thas why for the longest time you could only run one app at a time on the Iphone.

lol. It took iphone 3 generations to be able to record video, the Pre will probably get it next update, and it doesnt have problems scrolling, i own one. WinMo phones have issues scrolling.

So considering the Pre is doing what the iPhone took 3 generations to do is awesome.

First off, this wasn't a "live" video, it was a presentation, so it may not be as smooth when actually running the software.

Also, it's quite easy to do this on Windows mobile and it always has been.

This isn't anything new... it's just a different UI.

The simple fact that the Palm Pre has a capacitive touchscreen means that when using your finger, it will control better than Windows Mobile.

Microsoft really needs to make Windows Mobile support capacitive screens. This is urgent.

I have an iPhone and I love it but this is really nice. I mean REALLY nice. As you all know by now, lawsuits between Apple VS everyone one else will be flying in the coming months but that is not the answer. Personally, I think Apple better get it's shit together and add the functionality that the iPhone desperately needs. There's no reason why jailbroken iPhones should enjoy the added features that new phones like the Pre already come with. Although I hate buttons, it's features are amazing.
