@Mirialiah I agree, many women wait til they're 3 months pregnant to be absolutely sure they are going to have the baby so that they don't tell their families beforehand and then the baby miscarries.
She was just being realistic and probably just telling herself that too to keep her own excitement level at a manageable level. It's important to keep that in mind because it's a reality that happens to so many women. It is true that a lot of couples wait until later (a month or so) to tell until they're a little more out of the early miscarriage red zone. If you get so incredibly excited and attached so early on then it hurts even more when you lose it.
