I've learned about meditation and Buddhism by watching many wonderful documentaries online. A few years ago I thought Dalai Lama was another nut in a robe. You think I would have ordered any DVDs? The free and easy access to this information by way of downloading is what opened the door for and I'm sure millions of others.

I am an independent filmmaker, and not a wealthy film studio with an excess of funds to make films. I had to spend my own money, some of it from working at other jobs, just to make this film possible. Unless I make back to money that I spent in making the film, then I will not be able to make other films that have the intention of inspiring.

Evil can be friendly and deceptive, it can be your best friend. You'll never know sometimes. Peace is not a simple process, it takes great minds to solve the complex problem of vices.

Five years since leaving the cult, and I still haven't been able to put together a modicum of daily practice. I know the NKT does not have ownership over the Dharma, but I find it a lot harder to practice without the support. I find it a lot harder to practice without the benefit of receiving teachings. There is nothing in my area for meditation centers OTHER THAN THE FREAKIN' NKT! They're everywhere, in disguise. All the websites of their local centers are like "meditationin______ dot orrg."

Je Tsongkhapa or Gelukpa are not about a person or a club, but about an enlightened presentation and transmission of Buddhas teachings. It is all so far removed from sectarianism when the holy Nyingma, Sakya, Kagyu and Geluk schools praise their lineage and do whateverer they can to prevent it from degenerating, which is so very hard in todays world where self-cherishing is the god we worship, and where the easiest way is always the best.
Look everyone, the only true way forward, in which we can trust to be free of disillusion, is that of the Panchen Erdeni [Gyancain]. The DS/Dalai Lama issue is not possible to reconcile because the positions are not equal and therefore not in contrast. This leads to interminable confusion. The world will soon see that the rise of the Panchen Erdeni, when he attains his majority, will put all other leaders in the background. There is no need for multiple teachers, only One True Teacher.

Dalai Lama's administration acknowledged today that it received $1.7 million a year in the 1960's from the Central Intelligence Agency, but denied reports that the Tibetan leader benefited personally from an annual subsidy of $180,000.

Most people are not going to order something online and wait for it to arrive in the mail unless it's a topic in which they have a lot of interest. I've learned about meditation and Buddhism by watching many wonderful documentaries online. A few years ago I thought Dalai Lama was another nut in a robe. You think I would have ordered any DVDs? The free and easy access to this information by way of downloading is what opened the door for and I'm sure millions of others.

I was surprised to see it only has 197,080 views while Dalai Lama has in FB over 1.3 million followers. I am an independent filmmaker, and not a wealthy film studio with an excess of funds to make films. I had to spend my own money, some of it from working at other jobs, just to make this film possible. Unless I make back to money that I spent in making the film, then I will not be able to make other films that have the intention of inspiring.

Five years since leaving the cult, and I still haven't been able to put together a modicum of daily practice. I know the NKT does not have ownership over the Dharma, but I find it a lot harder to practice without the support. I find it a lot harder to practice without the benefit of receiving teachings. There is nothing in my area for meditation centers OTHER THAN THE FREAKIN' NKT! They're everywhere, in disguise. All the websites of their local centers are like "meditationin______ dot orrg."

Of course, even if the ban existed--which anyone who's attended HHDL's teachings knows it does not--what would it matter?
The one-and-only "Shugden lama" teaches that HHDL is a "liar and a hypocrite"--then they say "don't attend HHDL's teachings," then finally they make up a story about how "Shugden practitioners are banned from HHDL's teachings."

How can Dorje Shugden be sectarian when there are so many proves that he helps everyone despite who / where you are from. There are many sources that Dorje Shugden is an enlightened, compassionate Dharma Protector unlike Nechung a real "spirit". Read the Choyang Duldzin Kuten Lama's autobio and how as an Orcale of DS, he even helped raised funds for Nyingma and Sakya monks' quarters at dorjeshugden(dot)com - perhaps Dorje Shugden can advice how to get Tibet's freedom since Nechung has failed.

Je Tsongkhapa or Gelukpa are not about a person or a club, but about an enlightened presentation and transmission of Buddhas teachings. It is all so far removed from sectarianism when the holy Nyingma, Sakya, Kagyu and Geluk schools praise their lineage and do whateverer they can to prevent it from degenerating, which is so very hard in todays world where self-cherishing is the god we worship, and where the easiest way is always the best.

Look everyone, the only true way forward, in which we can trust to be free of disillusion, is that of the Panchen Erdeni [Gyancain]. The DS/Dalai Lama issue is not possible to reconcile because the positions are not equal and therefore not in contrast. This leads to interminable confusion. The world will soon see that the rise of the Panchen Erdeni, when he attains his majority, will put all other leaders in the background. There is no need for multiple teachers, only One True Teacher.

Look up another youtube video "Dalai Lama on CNN" . DL talks about what it means to be a Dalai Lama and what reincarnation means. He stated that acceptance by being DL doesn't mean accepting the same being as the previous DL. Reincarnation is not necessarily the same being but has the same quality, same potential.

Its a great responsibility being the Dalai Lama, I bow down to his selfless life he has led. Look how far Buddhism has spread. When i was growing up i knew nothing about dharma. All i ever knew in this century is the Dalai Lama. That reputation alone is what has spurred the west to embrace all schools of buddhism.

if the practice of DS is wrong, then why did Dalai Lama allow Trijang Rinpoche to practice? If it is so bad n wrong, why would he allow the reincarnation of his teacher to practice something that would supposedly "harm" him?
Also, if Trijang Rinpoche practices, that means all his students, assistants etc wud also be within this lineage/practice. He can't just practice on his own! Wat about d sponsors that support him? The monks who prepare his puja offerings etc?

the dalai lama practised DS within this lifetime and has written many praises throughout his many lifetimes... how can the Dalai Lama, who is Avalokiteshvara, suddenly make a "mistake"? no way. He definitely knows what he is doing and this ban is part of a much bigger picture that perhaps we cannot understand at this time.
e.g. tibet was lost n people questioned why the buddhas didn't help tibet then... but now, millions more in the world r learning from these great masters n practising dharma

So if his practice is wrong then he would be a wrong lineage lama to Kyabje Ling Rinpoche. If tht's wrong then HH is passing practices tht are so called impure to many today. Tht's impossible. HH is definitely pure as well as His lineage lamas. Eg.Kyabje Pabongkha Rinpoche. Even HisHoliness cld not override any master of any school of Buddhism or any sect, otherwise HH wld put Himself in the position of being eventually overridden also. Eg. HHDL kindly confers the Kalacakra many times throughout the world. He has received this lineage frm Kyabje Ling Rinpoche. Kyabje Ling Rinpoches root lama is Kyabje Pabongkha Rinpoche Jetsun Dechen Nyingpo recognized as the emanation of Heruka Cakrasamvara. Every great Gelugpa lama is directly or indirectly connected to this great being. Kyabje Pabongkha Rinpoche practised Dorje Shugden throughout his holy life.

The commitments of Dorje Shugden we have received from our root and lineage lamas prior to HH must be upheld also. All those great lamas who are also the lineage lamas of HH cannot be wrong. If they are, then the other practices, lineages, initiations, transmissions passed to HH wld be stained by the practice of Dorje Shugden also?

According to a secret 1960 PLA Tibet Military District Political Department report, between March 1959 and October 1960, 87,000 Tibetans were killed in Central Tibet alone.

yeah cuz china would never kill a lot of people. and china's information is well known for it's objectiveness and accuracy. And coercion was not used before the chinese arrived although their standard of living was low. however this is geography and economics, and given their poverty, tibetans were well educated. had they not remained isolated and traded they would have fared much better.

Dorje shugden is a ghost or not is NOT THE POINT.
The point is that Dalai Lama MAY NOT BAN ANY FORM OF WORSHIP IN A FREE AND DEMOCRATIC INDIA.
Because of this ban, Dalai Lama is going to court. He has been summoned by the High Court in Delhi to plead his case.
By the Dalai lama going to court is a huge message that WHAT HE IS DOING IS WRONG.

Let me get this straight...you're upset because the CIA supposedly gives the Dalai Lama $180,000? First, why would a intelligence agency pay the Dalai Lama? Wouldn't the State Department pay instead? Second, if this were true, which I don't believe it is, I would rather have tax money go the Tibetan government in exile than say Columbia, Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and China (in the form of our trillion dollar debt).

Hundreds of years ago, Buddhism was a very powerful religion in Asia.
At this time there was a great debate held between China's version and Tibet's version of Buddhist Philosophy. China lost.
China never forgot this.
Even today, China's irrational hatred of of everything Tibetan stems from this debate and it's result. China is a master of brain washing and paints history in it's own colors.
