Im so sick of this... Some people say to remove C24 others say remove C25... So i removed C24... Now i want to try pull out C35, I was wondering if it would be safe to pull it out and NOT upgrade C34 like they say..?
The boogie mod sounds like you removed the balls from this thing. Sounds thinner and harsh... from a pedal thats already thin and harsh. Bummer. I was hoping it would sound better.
@ibanezfoo Only the first setting sounded harsh to me. I think it still sounds way better than stock, but I like Jim's Diezel mod much better. The stock metal zone sounds like a cocked wah-thin and nasally.
@freiermann7 I had a Dual Rectifier for a little while and absolutely hated it. I've now owned a 5150 for 2 years and couldn't be happier. To each their own though...
@prestige1550m I have a 5150 as well. Its more of a mid range amp. But thats the tone Iike so... But then I know how to EQ amps a little better than your average "skoop the mids bro!" guitar store thrasher hehe
There are no amp settings - I'm running guitar into the MT-2, then into a cabinet simulator and then into a set of studio monitors, so there are no amp settings.
Sorry this mod does not sound as good as your other Diezel mod.

So I suppose what the boggie mod basically enhances the low end of the pedal, hence making any high end settings sound thin... -_-

@xdux the mt2 is way better than the metal core?? it has twice as many knobs for full tonal control and a huge sqeep of frequencies!

I like what I've seen of your other pedals & mods, but I gotta say I don't care for this. To each his own I guess.

@prestige1550m Not any Mesas I've ever heard. Unless you mean the ones the kids scoop and mess up at Guitar Center.
