  • is their an automatic spinning spindle for cotton?

  • Thanks for the video - it was VERY helpful! I've been wanting to get a Turkish spindle (the Turkish Delight has captured my heart), but was worried it might be too heavy to spin fine laceweight yarns. Having seen your video, the penny dropped that I can use the Turkish Delight as a support spindle - yeah, I'm a little slow sometimes...

  • not everyone winds on the yarn like that.

I do :) Thanks for the video, good job:)

Also I have been afraid of cotton :( But I will give it a try:)

  • Thanks Susan!

imho it's the most practical way to wind on to a Turkish.

Yesterday I made a video showing how I wind on for I often get asked how I do it. Still need to edit the video and upload...

Cotton is intimidating in the beginning. Just take it slow and support the spindle on a smooth surface.

  • I have family who live next door to people who farm cotton. Maybe I'll get them to get me some cotton to spin!

  • I'm glad to see someone using a turkish spindle - I couldn't picture what over 2 under 1 meant before your video. Also- glad to see you using cotton because I believe that's what I'll be learning on. Thanks for making this. Hope you make more video demos with the turkish drop spindle.

  • You make it look so easy !!!!

  • Thank you for this video!

  • Nice tutorial on spinning the cotton!

    Thanks!
