@rabbitwho Well, in fairness to that comment, I think they were talking about travel. With movies, you might be filming in an LA studio one day, the Nevada desert the next week, and next month, you're shooting a movie in Norway (made up examples, but you see my point). CS knew that he had to be at a particular set every day, but he wasn't likely to have to move around much. So he could buy a house, stay in one city, etc.

As for his mental state, though, I take your point.
