She plays on a 24k Muramatsu flute custom made head joint.

@damianc80 actually the whole flute is 24k gold. and just as a point of interest - muramatsu do not sell separate head joints!

@yanpan16 well if you want to be finicky it's a 24k gold body and possibly 14k keys with a muramatsu 24k custom design head joint i.e. modified to her specifications. and yes they do sell just head joints if you want... all suppliers can sell you just a muramatsu head joint if you wish. so i don't know where you got that idea from.

@damianc80 well on her website it just says all 24k gold flute by murmatsu. no specifications so for me i'm not assuming it's safe to make specific judgements like that because we don't actually know. all 24k gold flutes are available. the muramatsu supplier in australia emailed muramatsu for me when i inquired about buying a separate head joint and muramatsu replied saying that it was not possible to sell a separate headjoint - that's where i got the idea from. :)

sorry just also wanted to add that according to the muramatsu website you have to custom order 24k flutes. so it would be custom anyway. however i did read in an interview that she asked the maker to change the embouchure hole ever so slightly, so you are right in that the headjoint has been custom modified. :)
