Used to run into him a lot in the 90s at old Beatnonstop Records on Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles. Always friendly and hip to give out some useful suggestions. Too bad his own record shop didn't last. Most have disappeared since them glory days. Anyways, true, the man was and remains a legend. Nice rotary mixer action ;-)

@acidpress I used to shop at Beat-non-stop in the nineties too. Used to see Steve Loria, Doc, and Lance. I was devastated when they closed. Wax was cool, just slightly overpriced. Street Sounds is still there, different location though. Remember when Eddie Amador used to work there? I wondered what happened to him until I went with my brother to Ibiza and saw he was the resident DJ at the biggest club there, YIKES!!!
