@wearesuper You are right in a way, this is the way they taught as at my dojo...the more common way is how you mentioned it but either one works so there is no truly wrong or right way in terms of this.
After long time, I have seen this best video. He presented exactly what needs to be done rather than talking a lot and taking lot of time. My appreciations to the presenter.
This is the kind of video I like to see, because it's great just for seeing what other people find useful, and for getting iedas yourself. Whether or not the training you do is easier or harder, it's just great insight into people's regimens. I like that you did the different kinds of push-ups; it shows I'm not the only one who thought that was a good idea!
You helped me facking much, i have more mucle now and six pack for i see your video i did 50 push ups and 50 sit ups, and now i got better your strech is to good, i look your training every day every day i do this, i dont do teakwondo theres no teakwondo training here.
it's best to do the strech slowly first then do the warm up and work out with all of the muscle resistance training. Your front kick strech can be combine and made into a side kick. First kick warm up is better to just raise ur leg as high as you cn before doing the 'chopping kick' which can be made into 3 type - straight, outside to inside or outside to inside. But if you practice each kick 1000 times a day, u'll be excellent and in a couple of years you'll develope enough power to do break
Remember to always (!!!) fully extend your arms when doing those dumbbell bicep curls. Also try to bring your elbows even closer to your body and more importantly remember not to sway in your back when doing the curl - you have to isolate your biceps as much as possible if you want to gain any muscle.
good workout... two tips on your kicks though with the front kick don't make yourself short keep a good form, and with the back side kick.. is more of a backside turned sidekick if you do it, try making it more... backside, like a rear horse kick... those are the two flaws i could find.... probably some more wrong with it but hey....

This is what my master makes us do before we begin class! All the basics(: Well Streching! And ive been in TKD for FOUR years and happily a red belt(:
I train 8 years Taekwondo, and still do.. three times per week, almost 2 hours training.. didn't cared about belts, and i'm on red and two blacks right now, i'm forcing myself to take the black and be ensured that i can be a trainer someday in future. Anyway, i don't care about belts that much, but its the final one so i think i will go for it.. TKD helped me a lot, i am always in good shape, feel great, know how to fight, absolutely great fighting sport..
A really nice video. Thanks for sharing it with us. I got a problem, my will...I wanna always do something, but when i wanna start i feel like i will later do it, and then later, i will tomorrow if God will. Always the same. i practice Tkd as well, i wanna do a lot of things, but i got always some excuses . Got any advice for the will =(
Also, about the tea, i am drinking it on 35+ degrees in Bosnia hehe, it's nice. One more thing, how long will i need for a properly string by doing this strech

I have been taekwondo for almost two years now and I am a Blue Tag, I have follow this routine right from the start, virtually everyday and it works very well, this is a perfect way to keep your self loose and develop even further with your techniques. I would highly recommend this warm up to any-one who is interested in taekwondo =].
@Kama18 I think alot of the best tkd trainings go on at home..... Most schools your in class 1hr 2-3x a week....thats only 3hrs out of 168hrs a week.... lol I tell my students that all the time.. Going over forms is good cardio work also.
@buffalorifle Yes , i do Kyokushinkai I strench and practise my kicks and punches and strikes everyday , i'm very flexible now even tough i'm 190 centimeters long.
good side kick. but where you said your doing a back kick your actually doing a turning side kick. keep your hips squared with your target and look over your shoulder. and keep your knees together when you throw it. when you turn your hips to much your knees will open up and you will lose most of your accuracy and power

Dude, you've inspired me even more. Today my friends and I were talking about Martial Arts and I'm not too good with upper body fighting, but I have strong legs. I think I'll do some of this stuff before going to sign up! Thanks!!
@Tehrawrzorz Glad I could be of help bro. Do this everyday a a few days before you join a tkd class and you'll be set to go. I actually started taking tkd again after 2 years yesterday so I'm really happy about that decision.
what i mean by that is that i was once training karate the gave up cause no money and now i wanted to train so bad that i wasn't for some reason. I was having a inner conflict with self but watching this made me feel enlightened really thx u : D
Nice video, thanks for the advice. Only problem though, TKD is a Martial Art, not a sport. Sorry for being "nit-picky" but its true. Iam a blue belt by the way. Also, if you can, try swiming, its the best excercise
@KrNBunso side kick kan be done with the *dont know the words* but the part between your toes and the middle of your sole.... but thats hard and not neccesary until break test at ... black belt i think it is where u have to break a wooden thingy with side kick
Honestly dude, doing something is better than doing nothing. Nevertheless i would add for example an exercise for the back as you only do push ups and a bit dumbbell for the biceps. I mean, you got more muscles than biceps, chest and your abs. What about the legs?
I have 15 years... in my town there is no taekwondo or any other martial arts...so I ask you for advice...is it good to exercise alone at home...and is it healthy?please answer
Yeah you can at home no problem. Just know what you are doing and do it right. Also start off with what you can handle and then go from there. Never do more than what your body tells you you can.
great vid, but i think that it'd be better if you stretch a bit longer than 10 secs - since research shows that you get maximum benefit from stretching 20-30 secs.
the worst taekwondo blooper for me was when i was doing a front kick and kicked to high and took my self of the floor and nearly flaked out + cool vid
The thing i find most awesome is the fact that you actually do what your say and showing people it can be donew at those speeds with little restits great man keep going.
red belt huh...nice we are the same im not as dedicated as u r though...lol it makes me wanna train harder seeing this video..im gonna start training at home too..lol
nice video but i have some suggestions(take of it what u will haha) Protein!!!(revise diet)u should also really look up some of the more bulking exercises.. sandbag or kettlebell training is amazing for martial arts.. look up the "panthers" workouts he is huge but more flexible and versital then most ne1.if 2ppl fight with the same technique mastery, physically the strongest one wins not considering mental strength. (something to think about) Plus it looks good for the ladies haha (or gents) :)
nice home workout. but on the weight lifting, try to isolate your excercise. Your elbows are moving too much. (u can try standing against the wall with your tricep against the wall. that way all the weight goes on your biceps)
thanks, this helped a lot. im training at home too, basically i just do aerobic exercises and lots of stretches to 'prepare' for taekwondo class im gonna take.
dam i wish i had staminai like that
and that my abs didnt get stiff as shit after 19 pullups

then you would be considered a ninja :)

@DunkableDave yes but i would say japonese sword is better for being a ninja but kumdo is good (=

Nice video, thanks for the advice. Only problem though, TKD is a Martial Art, not a sport. Sorry for being "nit-picky" but its true. Iam a blue belt by the way. Also, if you can, try swiming, its the best excercise
kusarigama238 2 years ago
nice i like it
-axe kick- when u lift up ur leg, try to touch ur knee with ur head, and when u slam it down, arch ur back as much as u can for the momemtum
-side kick- hit with the blade of ur foot :D
-backside kick- blade with ur foot, and bend ur knee and touch your knees together

However, keep training!

doing exercise is always healthy

I have 15 years... in my town there is no taekwondo or any other martial arts...so I ask you for advice...is it good to exercise alone at home...and is it healthy?please answer
prpiks 2 years ago
Yeah you can at home no problem. Just know what you are doing and do it right. Also start off with what you can handle and then go from there. Never do more than what your body tells you you can.

yayyy!!!

is this needs to be worked every day?
prpiks 2 years ago
It would help, that is for sure. But a good advice would be to mix up your workouts. You want to make it a challenge, work your mind and body both.
Kama18 2 years ago
You should remake this video. :D To show improvements from last year. :D

great vid, but i think that it'd be better if you stretch a bit longer than 10 secs - since research shows that you get maximum benefit from stretching 20-30 secs.

the worst taekwondo blooper for me was when i was doing a front kick and kicked to high and took my self of the floor and nearly flaked out + cool vid

this video is pretty much what we do for our warmup except we run a little first and we dont use weights and the situps u did.
lameleah 3 years ago
nice video but i have some suggestions(take of it what u will haha) Protein!!!(revise diet)u should also really look up some of the more bulking exercises.. sandbag or kettlebell training is amazing for martial arts.. look up the "panthers" workouts he is huge but more flexible and versital then most ne1.if 2ppl fight with the same technique mastery, physically the strongest one wins not considering mental strength. (something to think about) Plus it looks good for the ladies haha (or gents) :)
rboss90 3 years ago
nice home workout. but on the weight lifting, try to isolate your excercise. Your elbows are moving too much. (u can try standing against the wall with your tricep against the wall. that way all the weight goes on your biceps)
but in general, keep up the good work!
PadaINbelgium 3 years ago
I quit sure you are not doing it every day ))))
