i'm 13 and i listened to this song a lot before my scoliosis surgery. i kept telling myself it would be a little bit longer until it would be all over. scoliosis is when u have a curve in your spine. mine was really bad. today is 1 year since my surgery, and i'm better than ever. =D
@chocolatemilkyum At least some cancers can be cured. I've been stuck with this for 14 years now, and there's STILL no cure in site. Also, go 2 weeks without insulin and tell me T1diabetes isn't deadly. Before the discovery of insulin, pretty much all T1diabetics died...
@chocolatemilkyum he isnt writing it directly for him, he is trying to show the patients who have diseases like this that they arent alone no matter what.
@chocolatemilkyum some cancers don't usually kill (prostate cancer, some skin cancers), and diabetes can easily kill you. It can take as little as maybe and hour or two to kill diabetics without insulin. It can take up to a week (if they don't consume at all), and while they could possibly not die, chances of a coma are extremely high after that much time. And yes, while cancer ranks second in mortality rates, diabetes ranks 7th, which is pretty damn high. Ignorance just makes you look dumb.

I'm seventeen and have Fibromyalgia and Reflex Sympathic Dystrophy. I try my best to be and feel as normal as possible, since on the outside I look like every other girl my age. I'm in constant pain but never tell anyone, because I dont want to admit that I'm not 'perfect'. This past month I have been working hard on trying to change that, embrace it. I am crying right now because you really don't know what something is like until it's gone. I don't get to do the same things as my friends & I am tired! I love this song SO much.....it really makes me think about the people in my life I've come in contact with who had diseases and struggled because of them. It also makes me think about my friends and family who could be hiding things as well. It even makes me think about how fortunate I am and make me thank God every single day.
I am crying because i have type 1 diabetes and this song touched my heart. I pray that one day there will be a cure and no one will cry anymore because of this disease. Stay strong and help find a cure. :)

I was diagnosed December 20, 2002 when I was 7 years old, It was my brothers birthday. My blood sugar was 781. A few months ago, my mom found me in a coma, I was taken to Las Vegas. When I got there my blood sugar was 1400. This song is sooooo inspiring, I love it <3

I dont have diabetes, but some of my friends and family have it. My family like full of cancer, but Im the only one in my out of all my family (cousins,grandparents, ects) with celiax disease, if you never heard of it, it really limits what you can have. If you think abut it, there kinda simliar. I hope they fing a cure for diabetes. Scary part is my brothers say I have a chance to get diabetes.

My grandma had cancer and she did an operation on my birthday in 2009, I was 14. She told me that even thought she wouldn't be with me on that day again, she would be singing happy birthday for me in the hospital. 4 days later it was mothers day and at 3pm she died just after we said a prayer for her. This story may not be about diabetes, but this song means the same to me; You really don't know have untill it's gone, so just wait a little bit longer and hopefully it'll all be fine...

i'm 13 and i listened to this song a lot before my scoliosis surgery. i kept telling myself it would be a little bit longer until it would be all over. scoliosis is when u have a curve in your spine. mine was really bad. today is 1 year since my surgery, and i'm better than ever. =D

@chocolatemilkyum some cancers don't usually kill (prostate cancer, some skin cancers), and diabetes can easily kill you. It can take as little as maybe and hour or two to kill diabetics without insulin. It can take up to a week (if they don't consume at all), and while they could possibly not die, chances of a coma are extremely high after that much time. And yes, while cancer ranks second in mortality rates, diabetes ranks 7th, which is pretty damn high. Ignorance just makes you look dumb.

:( Umm.. I don't know why I am writing on here really' but I have type 1 diabetes & I have had it for 4 years. I am crying right now because you really don't know what something is like until it's gone. I don't get to do the same things as my friends & I am tired! I am tired of waking up one morning low & the next high. The worst part is I know that there are worst things out there in the world. I was diagnosed December 20, 2002 when I was 7 years old, It was my brothers birthday. My blood sugar was 781. A few months ago, my mom found me in a coma, I was taken to Las Vegas. When I got there my blood sugar was 1400. This song is sooooo inspiring, I love it <3

I dont have diabetes, but some of my friends and family have it. My family like full of cancer, but Im the only one in my out of all my family (cousins,grandparents, ects) with celiax disease, if you never heard of it, it really limits what you can have. If you think abut it, there kinda simliar. I hope they fing a cure for diabetes. Scary part is my brothers say I have a chance to get diabetes.

I don't have diabetes but I know people who have it
most people who aren't diabetic don't realize how it is
it's even harder when you get it as a kid
nick was what ? 14 ? 13 ? when he first had it ?
how do you expect a kid who is normally active to handle such thing keeping him from doing what other kids do ?
I hope all diabetic people win their battles against it

My bestfriend, I've known my whole life... he gets straight a's and he is the most amazing guy ever... and he's been in the intensive care unit for a long time, and they don't know whats wrong... I never thought THAT would happen.. :'( its hard

i love nick soooo much, he's like an inspiration to everyone, and even though i dont have diabetes, my grandmas and some of my cousins do

My grandma had cancer and she did an operation on my birthday in 2009, I was 14. She told me that even thought she wouldn't be with me on that day again, she would be singing happy birthday for me in the hospital. 4 days later it was mothers day and at 3pm she died just after we said a prayer for her. This story may not be about diabetes, but this song means the same to me; You really don't know have untill it's gone, so just wait a little bit longer and hopefully it'll all be fine...

this song means so much to me i allways cry when i hear it because what this song tells is happening to me since i was so little that i cant remember! wher i heard nick singing a little bit longer in the concert in buenos aires a month ago i coukdnt stop crying! thank you nick for showing me that im not the only one with diseases! i love you!

this song can relate to many other diseases than just diabetes... my baby sister she's 9. She has always been a JB fan, and just a month ago she was diagnosed with cancer. i think she can relate to this song...
