  • Looks like a bunch of peppermint Lifesavers.

  • Can I use this recording (not the full recording) but the wind up, about 30 seconds of the steady tone and the wind down for my homemade electronic siren? I already have it programed but I wanted to ask you before making a video on it. Also in the video i will clearly state it is your recording. ????

  • @JMAN123436 Yes you can. Thanks for asking.

  • On modulators where does the sound come out?

  • @JMAN123436 The speaker drivers.

  • Why do they make those sirens

    they sound like shit!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrStonemason12 That's a question you'll have to ask Federal Signal.

  • @MrStonemason12 They sound a heck of a lot better than ATI and Iforce tones

  • blarg. that is annoying

  • @chevazify yes it is

  • im just guessing but does more drivers make it louder?

  • @fastzombie1 Yes it does.

  • Luv It!!!!!!!

  • dont go too close to a modulator.you will pass out

  • This is a siren with speakers or a motorcycle? if there is a speaker which brand is it?

  • @djdannyfm Modulators use 100 Watt Speaker Drivers.

  • @Siren1000T1 Ok so we just got a new siren and it looks a little different then this one. It's black and says whelen on the box. It's supposedly brand new though. How loud is each driver? The one they installed has 9 drivers. They said it is suppose to be louder then the Thunderbolt it's replacing.

  • @turbocountry Sounds like you got a Whelen WPS-2909. Each cell on 2900 Series use 400 Watt speaker drivers.

  • @Siren1000T1 Really! So if it has 9 of them it outta be really freakin loud then huh? lol

  • @turbocountry Well according to Whelen, it says the WPS-2909 model is rated 128dBc at 100 feet.

  • how is a hiccup caused in an electric siren?

  • @GTASAModder1 To be honest, I am not even sure why they do that. All of Monroe County's electronic sirens have that same problem.

  • @Siren1000T1 I have heard that the hiccup is caused by vibrations during wind up.

  • Why does the wind up seem to slow for a quick second, the speed up? it notice that with a modulators!

  • Johnson County, Missouri does it on the first Wednsday of each month at 10:00AM.

  • @simplexalarms16 Are their mods single to dual tone? A friend told me that they talk, but he would not know the difference between single and dual tone, so I didn't ask.

  • Did I hear a hiccup there??

  • @Droideka133 Yes you did.

  • That lag is caused by vibrations, which disrupt the oscillation. Am I correct.

The problem seems to be common with dual-tone UltraVoice controllers

  • I used to line kalida ok and we had modulaters amd one of them git hacked it was so fuuny it was playing green day lol

  • @MrBrad123456789 ja, we did with playing hardcore German Industrial band [f/a/v]To get idea of how crazy that was check out Freude am Verzweifeln on YouTube. I think they knew it was us,but did nothing (apathetic community)

  • @Schutzraumtechnik999 Also song was called abschalten. Pure audio onlsaught XD

  • that sounds like this:

    WHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPEEEEEE

  • lmao!!!,this is what they use to save lives.lol!!

  • is it me or am i hearing a lag in every dual tone modulator wind up?

  • @dillonrockband Most of Monroe County's electronic sirens tend to have this problem.

  • Ilike modulators and their kooky wind-ups. They sound like high pitched 2t22s, probably becuase they have the same tone ratio.

  • we have the same sirens here!!!

  • 6 cell?

  • @Droideka133 Yep its a 6 cell.

  • Poor kids in the playground.

  • That Windup is Creepy

  • AWESOME sounding modulator. Those dual-toned ones sounds scary.

  • cheezy

  • At the start it sounded like the activation signal was sent 2 times.

  • It seems to struggle ever so slightly on the wind up. Other than that it sounds great.

  • LOL, then wind up. I love the modulator!

  • I like it too.

  • huh at the beggining it almost hesitated winding up lol

  • sounds great dan!

  • Very nice.

    Great Job, even with traffic

  • Yep.

  • the 500at isnt moving cool

  • what was the siren in the background at the end?

  • That would be another Modulator.

  • What killed the 2016

  • speaker drivers blow out.

  • I thought the Monroe county sirens had voice messages... Did they stop doing it recently?

  • It said on the Monroe County site that the voice messages begin at 9:55AM but I guess Dundee doesn't want voice cause I pressed record 5 minutes before 10:00AM and nothing happend.

  • My experience was the actual voice not starting until about 10:03... I was going off of cell phone time though! Too bad voice wan't used... It sounded pretty good coming out of the 3016!

  • Excellent video, Dan! Your very first Modulator video. Does it have a EOWS sound card? Or no?

  • Seems like it.

  • Awesome video of the Modulator Dan! If the 500AT is used for fire calls, is this Modulator used for tornado/weather warnings? I would think the 2016 was until it broke.

  • Yes the Modulator is used for Tornado and weather warnings.

  • Very good video. The Modulator sounds similar to an EOWS 1212.

  • Awesome sounding Modulator, Dan! :)
