Both Rugby and American (Canadian) Football have big hits and both are very different games. You can get severely injured in both games! Rugby is more fluid and tackles can be very painful. Some tackles in Football can be even worse because of the blindside hits that quarterbacks and receivers often take (not to mention some of the blocks on kickoff/punt returns). I admit that I haven't watched as much Rugby, but have seen enough to know it's a tough sport as well.
