I had the honor of seeing and hearing Vizzutti play at the Temple Jazz Festival 2011 in Texas, and I was blown away. Recordings of master musicians really don't do them justice; I thought Vizzutti was nothing special when I heard a recording, but after hearing him live he's become my favorite living trumpeter, and as a trumpet player I've heard many great trumpeters. His tone is the purest I've heard, his tonguing is impeccable, and his tricks are hilarious. Two thumbs up, Vizzutti!

Well, I can't play this better than he is by a long shot but in my opinion Maurice Andre was much better and without all the showboating. Andre made this difficult piece seem almost leisurely and unhurried.
