i had the same room when i went on that cruise the room was amazing and so was the view ps the free ice cream was great to :) ohhh u guys had the back of the ship we had near the front and i think we had a smaller balconey
I just want to say that that room and balcony are huge. I've cruised with carnival many times and I've only been on the larger/newer ships. We have had many balconies but one in the aft. I'm goin on a cruise in July and can anyone tell me if the room size is due to the ship size.
It is the class of stateroom....superior stateroom, basically 1 level down from a junior suite.
We've been on other ships also, and it seems that the size of the room really depends on the ship. When making your reservations and room decisions, look at the square footage to compare the different sizes.
@applesweeter Thanks for your comment! I can't remember exactly what this cruise cost...but, this balcony stateroom was the same price as other superior staterooms. Superior staterooms that are on the port or starboard side, with much smaller balconies!
We felt the room was a great value! And we always choose an aft balcony on this ship!
Just something about cruise. In Hong Kong, there will be a new cruise terminal at the runway of former Kai Tak International Airport. Perhaps, you might consider to get onboard there in 2012.
For me , I am planning to try out the Disney Cruise in USA to Caribbean Sea.
@SimlishSammy The rooms on Freedom of the Seas are wonderful! We have been on cruises where it was standing room only in our cabin...we enjoyed this much better!
@SimlishSammy They are bigger!!! We've cruised on Disney, NCL as well as Royal Caribbean. Disney is great, especially if you have kids, NCL was great on a tight budget, (but, it was the first cruise we saw Mexico, which was wonderful) but
@SimlishSammy Royal Caribbean and Freedom of the Seas was our first balcony experience.
Before we took cruises just for the destination...but FOS made us really appreciate the "getting there" aspect.
I can tell you this, my parents and grandparents were on the same cruise with us, had interior staterooms, but spent more time in our room because of the balcony!
@elegance954 Have a great time!!! Are you doing eastern caribbean or western caribbean? Either cruise has great ports, and I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time!
@TheSteelersbeast That information is thanks to my wonderful husband!!! He really did a lot of research...our first "balcony" cruise he jumped around from stateroom to stateroom, until he got the aft balcony. I'm so glad he did. We love cruising, and if you're going to get a balcony, this is definitely the way to go!
Of course, every ship is different, and not all balcony staterooms will be the same!
I honestly can't remember....it wasn't cheap, but we felt it totally reasonable.
We always stayed in the cheapest interior staterooms on previous cruises. This was our 2nd cruise in an aft balcony. Hubby did a lot of research and decided if we were going balcony, then we were going to stay on the butt of the boat!
I'm thinking of booking on this ship. It would be me and my girlfriends first cruise. Thank you very much for this video, it is exactly what I wanted to see.
Thanks for posting this video nice to see an Aft balcony, were going on the Independence tomorrow and I cant wait... hope you had a great cruise,... mark
Thanks for sharing! I have booked cabin 1702 on Liberty of the Seas which is the equivalent of this cabin. now I am even more excited. The balcony looks wonderful! Did you enjoy your cruise?

The sailing sea sounded like a water fall, whihc was quiet relaxing.
applesweeter 1 year ago
@applesweeter It WAS so relaxing! We really enjoy taking our wine out on the balcony, and just mellowing out, especially after a day of excursions.

How much did your cruise holiday cost in USA?
I went to Legend of the Sea in Southern China Sea for HK$10000 during this Chinese New Year.
P.S. your room is very big, much bigger than that at my boat.

dinomon 1 year ago
@dinomon Have fun booking a cruise!!! The stateroom you choose definitely does not make the trip...but, it can make it more enjoyable!
We've been in interior staterooms and still had a great time...but, my favorite is Freedom of the Seas, in an aft balcony...it's just so much nicer!

@stephljones Oh cool, I forgot I made this comment... Thanks so much for the advice! :)

wow that's a huge balcony for a cruise ship!
TheSteelersbeast 2 years ago
It is HUGE!!! The key is that it is an aft balcony... So, if you want something like this, make sure you are on the butt of the boat!!

yeah I checked the aft balconies on royal caribbean's site and you're right, they're the same price as the other ones with much larger balcony's

when in the back.. when your trying to go to sleep all you hear is the engines...
stillspinnen490 2 years ago
still... that is not correct
when in an aft balcony you can't hear the engines at all in Freedom of the Seas
Unless, of course, you are sitting outside, on the balcony, enjoying the view!
