This is why God blessed us with our voices. try listening to Gospodi pomiluj or Christ is Risen song (flash mob) on you tube. I think you will like it and it will uplift you as well as Byzantine Chant in Hagia Sofia where the soloist sings!

@vladimyr9 I am a cradle Orthodox and was always mesmerized even as a kid by my exposure to wonderful choirs and cantors during liturgy. I loved hearing the bass section and remember it like it was yesterday.

Thanks for posting this beautiful piece of human instrumental art. Those voices are amazing! Worshiping God and singing in the1st bass section of my church choir is such a blessing. And being the only one in my choir that can hit a low C, I can relate in the appreciation of this God given talent so much. This is my favorite basso profundo solo of them all. There was a brief time in which I screwed up my voice and killed my upper range for a little while, but it extended my lower range so that, with effort, I could sing this. Singing those low notes is an amazing feeling, and basso profundos make up the most amazing voice part of all.

They have basses that sing to double E and on Bb`s they are louder than a whole choir! I sing basso profundo and I was able to stand next to a bass from Russia.

He blew me away! I could not even hear myself singing. He listened to me at first

and said "You good bass" then he sang . I was in shock. Beautiful! I loved it.
