  • This is real sound sets.

  • wow just wow real vibes MUSIC LIKE THIS DONT EXIST ANYMORE

  • OK, nix that Barry B had a single: TJ Swann & Peewee Mel & Barry B - Are You Ready -

which is an early rap song....I trusted roots archive, bad move, why RA has a rap song listed, I don't know? But unidentified still could be BARRY BACK, listen at 4:00. and listen to the next DJ give him and NYC big ups after he hands off the mike,

and there is evidence of a Barry Back during that era, I think he's a very obscure NYC DJ and a protege of General Trees.

  • I believe the unidentified DJ is possibly BARRY BACK, or BARRY B, I think he was from the Scorpio stable with General Tree, at least his style is in that vane (Papa phillip Levi, General Tree, etc.) this is near the advent of the fast chant style era...He may be from NYC?, he mentions General Tree around 4:03, maybe someone else can confirm this?

  • Music is constantly evolving roots, sex, gun and social issues have always been apart of the music always. Generations before us asked the same question and the same question will always be asked disaproving the change. I have embraced reggae from the 60s to the present. There is no other music like it.

  • big up my dad ruddy irie

  • boyyyy.. dem days dance was nice!

  • @benim07 Not like da foolishness we have today

  • pharcelle,,,,, good question. I ask myself the same question.

  • What happened between then and now ? Where did the 'slackness' come from ? The way people dress, carry themselves, respect they have for themselves, lyrics, dances COMPLETELY change. What happened ?

  • what happened is sex sells...unfortunately

  • I think that's what happens to a lot of music types when they gets popular
