Uhh, those ARE all the files you need! Just dump them into a folder named "r-type" after exteraction.

Now, just put them into a folder called "r-type", edit the select.def file as I told you and voila.

@Pikawil64 well it did work, i am trying to add other characters like Vic viper and styx. i did the same thing, well, i typed the title of the game for the folder, and the notepad, but the others wont work.

Ensure that the name of the .def file in the character's folder is the same as the folder's name.

Open the "mugen.cfg" file in the "data" folder with a text processor, scroll down to [Video], change "FullScreen = 0" to "FullScreen = 1"

Lemme think... in mugen.cfg, scroll down to [Config], change "GameWdith" and "GameHeight" to something like 640x480 respectively.

What i actually dont get is like how to extract it. I try to extract it, and when it oges to the R-9 File, it just puts all the files i need to extract.

1: Put the file i need to extract in winrar. (Even the readme)

2: Checkmark the Extract and update files, And overwrite with prompt.

3. When i go to the file, they arent extracted.

After you extract the .rar/.zip files into seperate folders for each character in the "chars" folder, open the select.def file in the "data" folder with a text processor; there, in the space where they tell you to insert characters, you write down the name of the character's folder as named in the "chars" folder.
