These guys are legendary and one of the still remaining forerunners of the HipHop dancescene from the 80's. They were a global example for the BBoy scene back then. These guys kinda introduced Break/PopNLock in Europe. In Holland they scored a number 1 hit with Hey You RSC, because HipHop and Breakin was very new back then. Without this crew, and legends like Turbo, OZone, Boogaloo Sam etc. ultimate teams like Jabbawockeez, Quest Crew and others were not there where they are now. RESPECT 4 RSC!

Then after that there were people like Ty Fly, Take One, Frosty Freeze, Kippy Dee, Lenny Len,Crazy Legs, and Mr. Freeze. The people in this clip are mostly guys that rep RSC but are in other crews as well. I only recognized Sugar Pop, Mr. Wiggles, and Jeromeskee. I thought maybe Lego was in there, but their solos are all too short to tell.

Only Crazy Legs (wearing the white doo rag) is a member from the 80's. Mr. Wiggles (spotlight solo) became a member years later. I still remember the day my cousin Gilbert and I went to watch Flashdance in Hawaii. That was the first time I saw breakdancing. The next day, Baby Face, a member of The Foot Rock Bunch did some moves for us.  He was taught by the Rock Steady Crew, who also taught countless others around the world. So I give RSC credit for making breaking what is it. =)

Roy is fucking AMAZING, Ive hung out with him a little in hawaii and watched him dance alot. He has a very very clean style. I was lucky to hang out with alot of the RSC hawaii members when we flew to CA for the bboy summit 99, hes pretty old school, and a cool ass guy in general. New Generation of RSC in this performance, Desmond, Ynot, Bonita, Venum, Servin Ervin and Jeromeskee (who is also in Massive Monkees and member of RSC since 2001). The vets.. Crazy Legs, Mr Wiggles, Sugar Pop and Fever One.

Easy Roc was not in this performance, but he provided the backdrop for us.

This is going down is history as one of the best performances I've been a part of!!!

It goes back to '97, when Ken Swift released the '7 Gems Break Magazine Vol. 2' video. The video featured a tour of Japan, which Ken went on, along with Crazy Legs, Wiggles and Tony Touch. When Crazy Legs found out that Ken had released the footage, without getting his permission, he threatened to take legal action, if he ever did it again. Anyway, Ken was so disgusted at being treated so badly, he left the crew. Although, he still claims R.S.C. along with 7 Gems, when he makes solo appearances.
