This is so true. I met someone who's walked on the moon recently and he confirmed that indeed, people suddenly stop their 'me-centric' ways once they know they're in the same room as an astronaut.
Even if you were an astonaut who had walked on the moon and you were telling the story....some mindless socially inadequate fuckwit would interrupt and tell you about the time they won 10 quid on the lottery.
