whats the punishment if you get caught first time for pirate radio???

It kinda depend's on the judge really. Anything from £500 to £5000(which is ment to be the maximum)or 2 years jail, but that's very rare. We got a £10,000 fine in 2004 but that's coz weve been operating for 15 years and had countless raids over the years, so they were gettin some of their cost back i guess. Were still on tho lol didnt stop us for long!!! ;-)

Cecil Morris of Brum's P.C.R.L. got seriously done after dozens of raids over many many years, he was defiant and the city lost a good community station when he finally packed it in. The story can be found on the net. They tried to go "legal" but were turned down which was a travesty.
