If you know anything about cats, you know they won't do anything they don't want to. Don't cry for this cat. It will live a long, comfortable life like a king and get lots of attention. In the wild, life expectancy is much shorter.
The question is would the leopard rather be stuck in a cage or out doing something, she might be enjoying that jumping around... just because you would find it humiliating doesn't mean she will. I say thumbs up to them for giving a leopard something to occupy herself for a while, she is not being forced into it and she gets a reward for it.
This is kind of sick to me. Bad enough we have to coop them up to save their species, but now we make them earn their "rent" by training them to do tricks? They are humiliated enough by being caged. Leave them alone.
i can get why some might find this sick and indeed some people exploit aanimals for entertainment horribly. Training like this does build up trust and could be classified as enrichment which is needed to stop the animals getting bored. I do prefer wildlife in the wild, but i do understand the needs for zoos as education for younger generations and research to help them survive in the wild.
Yes. Leopards can. But clouded leopards aren't leopards. Just like kangaroo rats aren't rats. Why, kangaroo rats aren't even kangaroos! For that matter, clouded leopards aren't clouds either. But leopards can jump higher and farther and run faster than kangaroos. Which leads me to the following conclusion: kangaroos are lucky that there are no leopards in Australia.
So I ask you this: If brass bells are made of brass, what's a foghorn made out of?
Superfine water droplets suspended in mid air of course, unless it's a brass foghorn...then things become complicated :P
A horse is tied to a 15 ft. rope and there is a bail of hay 25 ft. away from him. Yet the horse is able to eat from the bail of hay. How is this possible?
It isn't. He would need to walk to it, and then he would no longer be 25 feet away. Thus he cannot eat from the bale of hay while he is 25 feet away. But you just want me to assume the other end of the rope is tied to something.
That's like this dumb joke I used to pull - I'd bet people I could teach them to stick out their tongues and touch their foreheads, and then they'd say no way, and then I'd instruct them to stick out their tongues and touch their foreheads with their index fingers....
You should also make the rope only 10 feet long to make it a proper trick question. If someone assumed the other end had to be tied to something, they could assume it to be tied 15 feet away in the direction of the hay which would give the horse 5 feet of slack still when he gets to the bale.
But as for the earlier discussion: so clouded leopards can't jump as high as leopards, and leopards can't jump as high as clouds. I guess clouds rule then! Yeah! Clouds kick ass! Any comments?

Somehow I don't think this, 'God' you speak of has anything to do with it. Try Darwinian Natural Selection instead.
And that is just weird and cruel. Some crass american lady dragging the poor cat around on a chain to perform tricks for the crowd. Makes me sick.

What a magnificent creature.... God knew exactly what he was doing when he created such beauty! WOW!
I hope others will 'adopt' a clouded leopard by donating funds to save this gorgeous animal.
