@AnterosOfTheNyboriag No Hexagons are usually related to sorcery due to the fact that to do spells witches/alchemists would need to draw or create a hexagon on the ground before casting. On a side note hex=six so thats why its a six sided star.

@NightWolf1583 Um, no the six sided star of David is related to Judaism. It may be related to some aspects of Kaballah, but what you're thinking of is the pentagram (5 sides). What happened here is a misinterpretation of symbols by another culture, simple as that. Neither star is part of Japanese culture in this manner, so they misused in the manner that many westerners misuse various forms of Asian writing. 5 sided pentagram= Water, Earth, Fire, Wind, Spirit.

@Lupos1987 Sorry to say look up magic hexes and curses and you will find that 9 times out of 10 it is related to a 6 sided star 5 sided is related to conjuring demons and for Satanism. And just because someone has a 6 sided star on them does not mean that it is a Star of David nor does it necessarily need to relate them to Judaism. And you know they talk about other religions in Japan too so i highly doubt its a mistake. Plus plenty of other games use 6 sided Hexagons for casting magic spells.

Anyway, I accept with one caveat; just because one (the Japanese developer) has studied other cultures doesn't mean that they can't fuck up the symbol of another culture. In this case I concede that I was misinformed on the hexagram. It is equally valid by the standards of occultism.

@Lupos1987 I understand there is a chance that they might fuck up but i just highly doubted it since i know that in Asia(More specifically Japan and China) They teach about other religions especially the big main ones such as Christianity, Judaism, Muslim and such and before making a game most developers research any symbolism so they won't insult anyone's customs or religions. Most developers avoid anything biblical or involving certain religions just to make sure no one sues. Cheers.

It was just a little WHOA to look in my mailbox and find like 7 emails from youtube, lol. Anyway, yeah you were right, and I hadn't thought to look up just how prominent the hexagram figured into 19th century occultism. It was just as big a symbol as the pentagram, and spoke before looking into it. I guess the Hexagram had a less negative connotation than the pentagram.

It could be due to the developers ignorance or because they just wanted to make it so. It still does not imply that if you have a 6 sided star you are Jewish. As far as we know they just gave her a 6 sided star because they wanted to give her a star or something that made her look powerful to the player. Or maybe because 6 sides

I remember back when this was my very first Touhou video, and her nonspell practically gave me a seizure. Then, on her first few spells, I died inside several times. Little did I know that in Touhou, shit is just crazy like that.

I got to Flandre for the first time after over 200 tries with four lives and a bomb and couldn't pull it off. Dunno what it takes, guess it is the memorization, because even with good reflexes and eyesight I just can't beat this game, it's too damn hard with only three lives and no extras from points. Furthest I ever got was Counter Clock. Cranberry Trap and Maze of Love both usually take all my bombs and kill me at least once if not twice. Anyone know any codes or something?

I wish I had such a good memory. I've had to give up on these games because I just don't have a good enough memory to beat the patterns. Top notch reflexes but reflexes don't mean crap when you can't remember where the attacks are coming from. Tried so many times, furthest I got was the "Kagome, Kagome" phase. I just don't have enough lives or bombs to survive the whole battle.

They really should have put the lives count and continues in this. Lots of fun until this stage.
