The 3G phone has four screens of apps, and the 3GS has two screens of apps. so, it is not a fair comparison. the 3G model is not as bad as the author is trying to show.

For the first time this has occured to me..

Of the 3G is nearly a year old whereas 3Gs is brand new..

i doubt there would be as much time difference if that was a brand new 3G.

Voice control...pretty damn sweet, except..does it text for you? Prob not, you have to get the dragon naturally speaking app. But a freakin onboard compass?!? Badass!!! I'm getting mine in 9 days! CAN'T EFFING WAIT!

no it doesnt, because inorder to have the iphone 3gs to operate, u hav to hav an unlimited data plan AND an iphone plan, that plan allows you to use the applications that are default on the 3gs to be used reguarly.. l luv my new iphone, got the white 32 gb 3gs, best fone i ever had :p

not necessarily.  the new processor on the 3GS runs 3x faster than the 3G according to network world. and apps do load a lot faster.

Hunt90 is right I have the 3G with less apps and I purposely pressed it after you and it loaded in half the time it took for you to load yours. You're video is biased. If you really want to test the speed take off the apps and run it like Hunt said. Although 3gs has twice as much ram which means you can load twice as many apps before your new 3gs is as slow as your old 3g. 3gs is a scam, although I'm thinking about buying one myself ^_- Potty mouth Hunt I will thumbs up you.

Nope, I had the original Iphone, and now I have the 3gs. Never owned the 3g because I didn't feel the upgrade was worth it. Nice assumption jackass

See, I feel the opposite. I felt like the upgrade from iPhone to iPhone 3G was huge, especially for anyone who uses the internet a fair amount. Even though there are more new features this time around, I still feel like the additions aren't enough to warrant a 3g user to upgrade to a 3G S. The upgraded camera, autofocus and video camera are a yawn. I barely use the camera, I use a real camera instead. The compass and voice command are also irrelevant. The upgraded speed is intriguing though.

Well we are different people then. iPhone 3G wasn't enough to convince me to upgrade. 3G S, however, was. Had this been the phone to come out last year, I would have felt the same way.
