Based on what I've seen of this "Jeopardy!" DVD game, it looks and feels as awesome as the real thing! But there's something missing: an option allowing players to incorporate some of the real show's former elements/icons into the game (such as allowing the set to change color from blue to red for Double and Final Jeopardy, incorporating old graphics and/or set designs, or electing to use an alternate Trebek with a mustache).
@Seth62392 Actually, it sucks. My brother got it for me and we could never get it to work no matter what we did. I happened upon this video because I was trying to get it to work.
The 2001-2008 theme of JEOPARDY! was sounding a little retro-ish. I like it! Can you upload and edit the DVD game version theme on YouTube for me, please?
my advice is this i found out the problem the dvd game base needs a fresh pair of 4 aa batteries in it for the buzzer programming now after you put in a fresh pair of batteries in turn on and load the game then go to buzzer setup and follow the prompts first press the right arrow key the wait for a prompt that says press again do that then it will say press next button on your dvd remote aim it the at the dvd player and press next button the repeat the process for the other button prompts.
pretty cool. the multi choice makes it too easy though, and there are only 20 episodes! I prefer the playstation version. It doesn't look as good but the gameplay is much better.
Don't ever buy this. Even if the buzzers worked (which they don't) there are only 20 or so games on it, making it quickly obsolete even though there is a component which you must GLUE to your DVD player. Also, there's no bar code on the box, making it impossible to return. You're better off spending five bucks for an old Nintendo and play on that.
I got this for Christmas and can't get it to work. My dog chewed up our remote and I didn't have enough batteries, so I was running around town all day trying to get the parts, and it still doesn't work... :(
You have to make sure the sensor they give you is glued to your DVD player with the end pointing at the IR sensor on the DVD player. Also, make sure the closed captions are turned ON. Is it just the left button that won't work for you? That's the problem I have! I'm exchanging mine for another because there must be something wrong with it - I've done everything they've asked and it never completes the buzzer setup without error.
Maybe my DVD player does not have that, I have a Sony DVP-NS325. I was not able to find the closed captions option in the menu. What kind of DVD player do you have?
It plays in your DVD player like a movie... Sold in the board game aisle for some reason. My gf picked one up and it's pretty sweet. Exactly like the video.
I used to own this game where's the download link?

@Seth62392 The last one, no - he's in his 70s and you can't turn back the clock.
I would, meanwhile, want the option to have WATSON as my opponent.

Episodes? Let me guess, all clues and responses were taken from the show itself.
gameshowguy2000 3 years ago 6
the back of the box says "unique" episodes
jubjub449 2 years ago 2
"Unique"? What does that mean?
gameshowguy2000 2 years ago
Unique as in "never used"
jubjub449 2 years ago
So never used on the show..

Multiple choice? Yeah, that's Jeopardy alright....NOT!
stdamon 3 years ago
Mutiple choice is used because of the limitations of DVD menus.

For 60 bucks, they should have Alex Trebec come to your house and ask you the questions himself
stdamon 3 years ago
NO, that should NOT HAPPEN!

EDIT: The box mine came in doesn't have a barcode. Target won't take it back without one.
EDIT : Fuck you, I warn others to not buy this game.

Im in the same situation we got far but it would load and then stop and would say try again. i minus well just get the pc version.
goodfella8707 4 years ago
I had the same problem. I returned it and it was the same thing.
I've read a few reviews and no one seems to have been able to get it to work.
Don't waste your money on this. Even now that it's in the clearance aisle.

question: are there only 20 episodes you can choose from? in other words, after you play all 20 episodes, are there no new questions??
iamthehatchet 4 years ago 2
why is it multiple choicce. that's lame
pyeman9 4 years ago
I agree. The PC game is much better.
Jnelson09Returns 4 years ago 4
I have the PC game for Windows 95 and it looks like a better game than this. Even graphics wise it's ok. You don't need good graphics for Jeopardy.
This game should have spent more time developing the actual game, and not the flashy graphics.

windows 95 is so old get xp you nub

Yeah, I had that version. The 1994 one with the '91 set and theme.
I lost the game since, and I have the Sega CD version (emulated), and I'm trying to get the PC one off of Amazon.

How did you setup the buzzers? I couldn't get them programed correctly.
esco941 4 years ago
You need to turn on closed captions on your DVD player, hold the remote against the base and do what it says.
