When they made this song, they knew what they were talking about.....WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THIS WORLD TODAY?!!!
I LOVE IT WHEN HE MAKES THOSE SOUND EFFECTS WITH HIS MOUTH.....WOOOOOOO...
I LOVE THE HELL OUT OF THIS SONG. I CAN HEAR IT 50 TIMES IN A ROW AND IT STILL HAVE THE SAME EFFECT ON ME.....TEDDY WAS SINGING THE HELL OUT OF THIS SONG!!!!!
GREAT dance song !!!!! Met them in Albany, NY in the small club where I DJ'd after their concert. This song was at it's prime. They were so nice & danced w/ the patrons.
Another well written and produced piece of music. Incredible that there was so much talent out there in the 70's no wonder its an unforgettable decade.......
I remember coming from Boblo Island on the Boblo boat at night and my parents dancing and partying. I had not a worry in the world. We had coolers, ribs, grills, blankets.
@jonshirl11. Friday nights at the BALI HAI, SOUTH LONDON found me dancing to this song and no one could touch me. My dance partner and I would blaze the floor and everyone would stand there in awe. Those were the days.
this is a 5 star philly evergreen classic! i was the DJ at the watersplash at London Conley Hertfordshire in 1975 where it was massive. I also had the privilage of standing on the stage at The Gold Mine on Canvey Island Essex along side Mr Chris Hill the Aytollah of soul in the south east to sing along to this one saturday night. What fantastic memories, Hillys record of that year, Beds and Herts and North London Soul Patrols were dancing hard that night. Memories forever X
My moms still happens to have this on lp. Whether she cleaned up,had company over,or over at my grandmother's place, she would constantly play it to death. I know I'm 40 years old and shouldn't be sayin' this but Long Live the 70's.
At the 4min 35 sec mark, you hear Teddy rap about the super-sorry state of America's economy and nation as a whole ,back in the day, 1975. This great Philly Soul tune with its MFSB musicians smoking and Teddy's commanding voice is about as upbeat as can be about a mess that we seem to be re-living 34 years later.
