Watch the last part of the Aldo/Brown fight and pay attention to Brown's legs. At first you can see him squirming a lot but at the final few seconds his legs lay still. Aldo has his own legs sunk deep and I believe the ref knew Brown wasn't getting out of there and would take 2 1/2 more minutes of damage. Also it's my assertion that MTB wasn't intelligently defending himself. Love your reviews, keep em coming!

Well, if Aldo is constantly throwing strikes and you're waiting it out, what the fuck? I guess all you have to do is get a dominant position and throw 157,000 strikes. It doesn't matter if they land, as long as your in a good position they'll stop the fight.

I agree he's not a good ref but when a guy is covering his head in that situation, is there really a better intelligent defense than covering your head and bucking your hips? Not really. And Brownie did get up as SOON as the fight was stopped. But if Brown accepts the stoppage, I accept it. Ya know? He'll get his chance to comeback and I'm not the kind of guy to get upset at that stuff.
Brownie is a classy guy and he realizes it's not Aldo's fault...but like you said, "he got up fine and protested." Some guys aren't talented enough to be top fighters, some guys aren't fit to be MMA refs and judges. MMA needs to do a better job or they're gonna lose fans. Period.

Good Review. Mazzagatti is really starting to piss me off. Hope Brown gets a rematch without a idoit ref. This is why I somewhat miss Big John. One of the few times I agree with Brock is what he said about Steve. On a higher note can't wait to see Faber return at 46. If taking a break is what you need to get back into MMA I say do it or atleast when you hear Mazzagatti is refing assume that someone is gonna screwed over. which although i don't like thinking it is what i think when i see him.
