The world lost a very nuanced and much needed political perspective when it lost Pim. We don't have many who are to the left on economics but to the right on immigration and crime. We need more of these.

If a Muslim coomunity did kill him, of course they would have used a white dutch guy. Killing him with a Muslim would just martyr Fortuyn and strengthen his message. More people should stand up and not be afraid to be proud of your country and where you come from. If you invited someone to your home and they stole from you, painted your walls a different colour telling you its better and then invited their friends over and made you fell uncomfortable. Hardline communists hate all religions...and they certainly don't spare Islam...look at Soviet-era repression of Muslims in the Soviet Union and in Afghanistan...as well as Chinese repression of Muslims. How does tearing down others instill pride? That kind of crap happens here all the time in the USA...look at the Republican Party and Bush. Pim Fortuyn was a fascist. I think you have a wrong image of Fortuyn. Fortuyn was gay himself. He said also he liked America, but not there foreign politics. He wanted muslims to participate in society instead of forming their own society. I know you live in America, so i think you didn't get the right information about Fortuyn, because the media always twisted his words. His "warnings" about certain people was more to prevent right politics in Europe slowly going radical again, like in the past(wich is whats happening).
But many people in the goverment back then said no dont trust him, he says he wants to prevent further right radical movement but he only wants to increase it once he gets power... and hes killed for that.
