The Fall was definately an experiment album, and I hate to say this, but a lot of the songs in it are pretty bad. However some of them (such as this one) are absolutely pure magic.
I don't know why but I listen to 'The Fall' a lot more than 'Plastic Beach' I guess it is just more unique and the songs more succinct. The songs are like sketches containing big ideas that are not lost to production or complexity.
