The sound comes from the keyboard to the talkbox, then the sound is compressed through the tube and into his mouth. The sound then reverberates in his mouth and goes into the microphone. Essentially, he just 'shapes' the sound with his mouth. HE DOES NO SINGING AT ALL. =)

pretty much mootbooxle has a ghetto talkbox assembly so anyone can make one for a few dollars and experiment, plus he goes into detail on how they work more or less, and it's not ultra technical unless duct tape and computer speakers are above your head.
