People seem to forget that not everybody on Death Row really committed the crimes they are accused of. Sometimes there is no single evidence for their guilt. And that's really the fucked up part about that system. How can you sleep at night, knowing that you might have killed someone? I have worked in the Texas Prison System. They have human contact all day everyday. They get to see TV. They have more privileges then they should. I think its funny how you portray the TDCJ death penalty as inhumane based on a few pictures and videos probably found from another anti death penalty activist when he probably has never set foot inside one of the units. @anyremix I worked with these guys for years. You can't fix them.The treatment you see here isn't normal, they earn that by biting, stabbing, or throwing bodily fluids on corrections officers. The officers have every right to go home every night without being injured or catching a disease. We caught an HIV+ guy selling his blood to another inmate so they could try to inject an officer. Lifers have nothing to lose & that's the kind of behavior you get so a life sentence has it's own implications

How about this, if you can't do the time don't do the crime. They want to be big men on the outside and do their stupid shit but when they get locked up they cry like bitches that they aren't be treated right. What about the victims of their crimes? I have worked in the Texas Prison System. They have human contact all day everyday. They get to see TV. They have more privileges then they should. Spare us your naivet'e and try not to be so gullible. If being confined in a Texas Prison is torturous, horrid, and inhumane then they the hell are there people begging for death sentences to be overturned to a life sentence? Most people would rather die than suffer "tourment." Boredom is the worst they suffer from.

Perhaps cases like you've described shouldn't be trivialized or generalized to keep the power of how terrible they are instead of desensitizing everyone with every case before them as equal to this. They have air conditioning and this is a response to this guy doing something physically threatening or verbally threatening this is not the norm...they don't usually suit up like this ,,,unless there is a reason for it..guards usually wear just regular uniforms..and they are the only inmates in texas who have air conditioning..all of death row is air conditioned

And I DO want people to get executed for the crimes they do, but then I have to remember that we all kill each other and ourselves every day if we're not living certain ways. I think its funny how you portray the TDCJ death penalty as inhumane based on a few pictures and videos probably found from another anti death penalty activist when he probably has never set foot inside one of the units. I know for a fact that their are protocols include video recording when force is used. These people on death row don't even get a date of execution until ALL appeals have been exhausted which is why they wait years to execute them, so they have a chance to prove innocence.

@anyremix I worked with these guys for years. You can't fix them.The treatment you see here isn't normal, they earn that by biting, stabbing, or throwing bodily fluids on corrections officers. The officers have every right to go home every night without being injured or catching a disease. We caught an HIV+ guy selling his blood to another inmate so they could try to inject an officer. Lifers have nothing to lose & that's the kind of behavior you get so a life sentence has it's own implications
