Simon Amstell is primarily a comedian and also known for making celebrities uncomfortable in his interviews, so that is probably where his questions arise from. Also, the last point about MTV is a slight sexual innuendo from Molko. He says that Amstell has wooed him successfully but that you also have to 'slum' it sometimes, ie, go for less, in this case with MTV. That's how I perceive it anyway, coming from England.
