Similarly, Kelly Clarkson probably would not do well singing one of Avril's other songs, such as "Complicated" or "Skaterboy".

It's a matter of voice rather than talent, although both Kelly and Avril are gifted vocalists.

Kelly Clarkson is one of my favorite singers, and "Breakaway" is one of my favorite songs-- period. However, I do think that the pace of the band caused her to quicken her singing to some degree; but she didn't let that ruin her performance.

As for the small amount of controversy going on in regards to Avril Lavigne and Kelly... Avril Lavigne did, in fact, write this song; but Kelly was given permission to sing it.
