Although I was disappointed, this has GOT to be the BEST movie I have ever seen. It gives people an important message- that people make mistakes. Some that are unforgivable. I love how it grasps your heart from the very begining, and blinds you with the heartache that she has, yet comlpete and under love shes willing to give. I love this movie! The performance of the girl is impeccable. The movie, in it's fantasy, is strong at showing the consequences of the accident in her life, and also very delicate at telling the story. Rhoda's life changes radically, and when it felt like an irreparable mistake, an unexpected opportunity showed up for another chance of seeing a different version of your own life. Rhoda gave this opportunity to the man that survived the accident. It was beautiful, amazing acting,exciting fantasy.

She goes to jail, and when she is out she's all depressed and wants to tell him she is sorry, but when he opens the door she lies to him by saying she is just looking for work and is offering house cleaning, so like a maid. She wants to go to the other Earth to see if the other her made a different choice?

So the girl on Earth 1, which is what you are seeing, gets the chance to go to Earth 2, but because she feels bad for what she did to the guy, she gives the ticket to him instead. At the end, you see the two meeting each other. Rhoda 1 (Earth 1), the girl main character, is wearing janitors clothing while Rhoda 2, who came from Earth 1 is wearing successful clothes.

Well you should know that everybodys clone from Earth 2 have been identical until the day of the appearence of the other Earth.

At the end of the movie, you kinda have to connect the dots: What proably happened was that Rhoda 2 on the night of the appearence of Earth 1 did not crash or kill the family and was successful with her life. Then Rhoda 2 must have won the ticket to journey to Earth 1.

@kj293 But that's what I liked about it. The sci-fi element is not the most important thing in the story, it's basically a subplot and just the setting where the story and this relationship takes place (reminds me of Monsters).

It depends in what you are looking for in a movie, you are not gonna see any flying space ships or aliens. It's a story about a fucked up relationship that takes place in a sci-fi world, and you either find that interesting or you don't.

I'm one of those people who do.
