Cod 4 changed the game, cod 2 was the first decent cod, WaW went back to WWII roots but was better than cod 1,2,and 3. MW2, BO, and MW3 were all good as well, people hate Cod, but it's the best selling series ever on the 360 and Ps3.

mw3 will be my last CoD until the series DOWNGRADES back to Cod4 roots. Want to know why Cod4 is the greatest game ever? 3 killstreaks (uav, airstrike, helicopter). No campers camping for a nuke or M.O.A.B. The guns and perks were BALANCED. Oh yea, there were no tactical insertions or akimbo weapons! Here comes the best part... the RPD was in CoD4!!! Ever since MW2 the series has taken a turn for the worst, CoD doesn't need to expand, it needs to downsize to what is was like in CoD4.

can't beat CoD 4. by far my favorite. the M40A3 was so fun. it had the best maps and the most skillful player wins, unlike all the bullshit explosives and hiding places to camp in MW2. I'm glad they toned down explosive damage in MW3, but people can still hide/camp in hundreds of obscure places with assassin and a silencer and ruin an actual skillfull player's killstreak. never played CoD 2 though, started with 4 so can't judge if it is the best overall

I think that what is happening is histo is repeating it self. Cod started out light and was boring and addictive at the same time Mw3 BO COD 2 and COD 3 all feel. And if you noticed there was a huge kick at cod 4 were the game got completely new and fresh and drew people in with its simplicity (well actually complexity for the time of 2007) and it was increadable. I think if history repeats itself this year cod will actually survive because it is slowley dieing just like rome did its to big.
