  • WHOO GO IRELAND !

  • The one in the middle needs to have shorter sleeves :) you can't see her hands and even though you aren't supposed to be able to see your wrists, this may be taking it to extremes!

  • Yeah, she almost looks armless...maybe she is!

  • i can do ta dance

  • i've been working my but off to get my hard shoes, my gillies hurt my feet(gillies r also called Irish dance shoes or soft shoes) & i loved the dances u all did fantastic!

  • The Less you can move your upper body while moving your lower body shows ALOT of control and therefore uses more diciplin.

  • yeah thats right! go minipoppy37!!

  • Very well done, ladies. You are all very talented. I really like the music of this particular musician. What CD is this? I would like to get a copy.

  • irish dancers dont use there arms because it shows elegance and control. we don't need our upper bodies to move to allow us to dance.

  • actually minniepoppie if you want to reveiw history the church thought it was "vulgar" to move anything above the ankle...

  • yeah realy, my teacher Mrs. Mary, always tells us to keeps thumbs in a fist and just use your legs.

  • @minipoppy37 Also because dancing was at one time outlawed in Ireland, so to appear to outsiders looking through windows that they were walking or skipping, they held their arms down at their sides while dancing :)

  • What music is this?

  • Marvelous!

  • sweetttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

  • You girls are amazing!!! Congratulations you all are fantastic dancers!

  • There's a bit of a rivalry between Irish dancing and Welsh dancing.

Welsh folk dancing is better because we use our arms as well.

    However this is impressive.

  • Using your arms doesn't make it better. Not our fault you don't have the control to manage Irish dancing.

Though I haven't seen much of Welsh dancing, I respect it as it's own style of dance. I don't criticize other dances because I think they're odd looking, because I'm well aware that Irish Dance is rather odd looking to LOTS of people. I ALSO don't claim it to be "better" because we don't use our arms or anything of the sort. It's childish and disrespectful.

  • OMG, you have to be kidding me, I looked up welsh dacing... its not any where near Irish step or "Irish dancing". Two completely different animals. Irish dancing may mean keeping arms str8t but it looks impressive and energetic..often sexy and always cahrming. Welsh is,....is diff.. no offence
