Sometimes repetition gives music it's form. Especially when it comes to FUNK...beats are syncopated and it's all about the groove

couldn't have said it better myself. A lot of my friends hate repetitive music. I listen to it all the time, a lot of jazz and funk fusion is like that. It's great when you have a solid groove and the players change it up every few bars. It really makes you listen to all the little riffs that everyone is doing in between, good stuff!
