@MrMK94 The mods are definitely safe to download...ive had them on my computer for years...as for starting a new city, just because the demand for something is high (like agriculture) doesn't mean its necessary to build. :)

Lower expenditures and increase revenue. Cut your services to the bone, keep cutting until they hover just above the point of adversely effecting the ability of your citizens to live life and conduct business (streets rampant with crime and schools falling apart, for example).

Your taxes might be too high. Try dropping them to attract businesses. Make your city an attractive place to live and make money, and the Sims will come.

To make downloads to Sim City 4 work, you have to place them in your plugins folder. What you do is you go into Documents->SimCity4->Plugins, and save the .Dat file in there.

it actually didn't take too long but you have to remember that cities are more sucessful in this game if you build them slowly and maintain good services and transportation. This ensures high wealth (tall, nice buildings)

the train is the "BART" (Bay Area Transit) and is available for busses, el trains/subway and monorail.

It is the best city in the world. It is the best of both worlds. Minneapolis is a very modern western city and st. paul next to it is very victorian and more like new york city. The culture in the area is only rivaled by New York City. It is great.

Some ask how I have made a large city without highways. Just utizlize subway's and elevated rail (only in congested areas).

Then you don't need to waste your space with highways.
