"..correct seeds?" If you want seeds to grow opium poppies, go to the grocery store to the spice isle and get a bottle of standard black (they're really dark blue) poppy seeds. Plant them everywhere. Even the seeds themselves contain trace amounts of morphine, codiene, theibaine, etc..hence why people test positive for morphine when they eat a poppyseed bagle. Get a few pounds of seed, wash in water and drink the water. Or just grow your own poppies. Think how many seeds you get 4 a few bucks
Actually, the seeds do not contain any psychoactive component. It is the tiny coating on each seed that does, You are correct that you can rinse them and catch a buzz (1kg yields approximately 100mg morphine) or used too. Now, the Tasmanian one's are thebaine yielding only which is not psychoactive in itself.
I know, it's just a coating on the outside of them since they were sitting in the sap in the pods. Interesting about the thebaine yeilds only. Thebaine isn't psychoactive, but it can definately give certain people a desired effect. I have to say though, no matter what, the tasmanian ones are extremely weak now, thebaine or not. Oh well, there's the drug war for you...the war on our souls and right to choose.

Semantics aside, thebaine is the alkaloid that can be manipulated into all manner of other useful opium alkaloids, including oxycodone, of which percocet is a brand name of oxycodone/paracetemol(apap). You name it, including codeine, morphine and buprenorphine, thebaine can be the mother of them all.
What? No. Morphine and codeine are the 2 main naturally occuring opiates (as well as thebaine & papaverine) in opium. Codeine is a pro-drug btw, as it turns into morphine after 1st pass metabolism. Thebaine is a terrible opiate on it's own and relys mostly on kappa receptor agoniszation, which mostly just makes you nausious and possibly sick (like sick sick). Thebaine is the base chemical used to create various opiods like oxycodone, methadone, and many other pharmaceutical opiods.
@TAXavier That was true until around two years ago. (BTW, sorry for the late response). Thebaine is now the alkaloid of choice amongst drug companies due to its easy manipulation into all psychoactive and painkilling opioids, including most of those you list. Methadone is not (AFAIK) one of these. It is a pure synthetic, as opposed to semi-synethetic like oxycodone and buprenorphine. I'm very much "up with the play" where this particular product is concerned.
@TAXavier The tazzie strain is supposed to be damn potent. The thebaine only poppy isnt cultivated for spice rack seeds so dont worry. The issue of strength is how much of the alkoloids are washed off.
@TAXavier You would have to eat like a gallon of poppy seeds just to catch a buzz, your better off just buying a beer. They sell dried poppy pods on ebay and on the internet. it is legal to sell them becuase many people use them for arts and crafts. It's just illegal to extract the opium. They used to sell them in flower shops but many cops talked them out of it. but thanks to the internet, they are back on the market and its legal to buy and send them thru the post office.
@flubno Actually a gallon of seeds (use weight when you talk about a solid) like 2-4lbs would get you very high. Sure you're better buying beer, if you like an inferior high. You don't need the internet for poppy seed tea. PST is for when you are waiting for your pods in the mail! :)
@TAXavier poppy seeds cab be expencive. Poppy pods almost always have free seeds inside them. They are pretty cheap too. poppy seeds rest up against the inner walls that have opium in them. When you can crush up the pods and extract the opium and dicard all the junk.
@flubno Yea, you can't walk into a store and get cheap quality pods. That's the point. It's not like I'd rather do seeds. Seeds in bulk are way stronger than seeds in pods btw. I honestly don't know why either. The seeds in pods are almost completely useless accept for growing.

Glaxo and their ilk. Morphine et al are scarcely of interest when they have fentanyl and oxycodone.

(ducking for cover now) They're both brilliant songwriters and are so full of insight and emotion. I never realized till watching your video that all those Muslim classic architectural details, domes, arches, traditional tile patterns were opium pod motifs, opium pod inspired. I had just somehow blindly assumed they were abstract not nature derived. Thank you for that insight.

@TamarZucker Yes, NZ = New Zealand. Glaxo is a multi-national corporation that is, amongst other products, maker of various poppy based drugs. Thebane is one of the many alkaloids in opium but, alone, is not psychoactive but through manipulation can product a number of very useful drugs. Methadone and buprenorphine are not great but they do have their place. Also, thebane is attractive to drug companies because there's potential for big dollars being made with the invention of new products.

"..correct seeds?" If you want seeds to grow opium poppies, go to the grocery store to the spice isle and get a bottle of standard black (they're really dark blue) poppy seeds. Plant them everywhere. Even the seeds themselves contain trace amounts of morphine, codiene, theibaine, etc..hence why people test positive for morphine when they eat a poppyseed bagle. Get a few pounds of seed, wash in water and drink the water. Or just grow your own poppies. Think how many seeds you get 4 a few bucks

Actually, the seeds do not contain any psychoactive component. It is the tiny coating on each seed that does, You are correct that you can rinse them and catch a buzz (1kg yields approximately 100mg morphine) or used too. Now, the Tasmanian one's are thebaine yielding only which is not psychoactive in itself.

I know, it's just a coating on the outside of them since they were sitting in the sap in the pods. Interesting about the thebaine yeilds only. Thebaine isn't psychoactive, but it can definately give certain people a desired effect. I have to say though, no matter what, the tasmanian ones are extremely weak now, thebaine or not. Oh well, there's the drug war for you...the war on our souls and right to choose.

I know you were responding to Taxavier but I'm chiming in regardless. Semantics aside, thebaine is the alkaloid that can be manipulated into all manner of other useful opium alkaloids, including oxycodone, of which percocet is a brand name of oxycodone/paracetemol(apap). You name it, including codeine, morphine and buprenorphine, thebaine can be the mother of them all.

What? No. Morphine and codeine are the 2 main naturally occuring opiates (as well as thebaine & papaverine) in opium. Codeine is a pro-drug btw, as it turns into morphine after 1st pass metabolism. Thebaine is a terrible opiate on it's own and relys mostly on kappa receptor agoniszation, which mostly just makes you nausious and possibly sick (like sick sick). Thebaine is the base chemical used to create various opiods like oxycodone, methadone, and many other pharmaceutical opiods.

@TAXavier That was true until around two years ago. (BTW, sorry for the late response). Thebaine is now the alkaloid of choice amongst drug companies due to its easy manipulation into all psychoactive and painkilling opioids, including most of those you list. Methadone is not (AFAIK) one of these. It is a pure synthetic, as opposed to semi-synethetic like oxycodone and buprenorphine. I'm very much "up with the play" where this particular product is concerned.

@TAXavier The tazzie strain is supposed to be damn potent. The thebaine only poppy isnt cultivated for spice rack seeds so dont worry. The issue of strength is how much of the alkoloids are washed off.

They sell dried poppy pods on ebay and on the internet. it is legal to sell them becuase many people use them for arts and crafts. It's just illegal to extract the opium. They used to sell them in flower shops but many cops talked them out of it. but thanks to the internet, they are back on the market and its legal to buy and send them thru the post office.

@flubno Actually a gallon of seeds (use weight when you talk about a solid) like 2-4lbs would get you very high. Sure you're better buying beer, if you like an inferior high. You don't need the internet for poppy seed tea. PST is for when you are waiting for your pods in the mail! :)

@TAXavier poppy seeds cab be expencive. Poppy pods almost always have free seeds inside them. They are pretty cheap too. poppy seeds rest up against the inner walls that have opium in them. When you can crush up the pods and extract the opium and dicard all the junk.

@flubno Yea, you can't walk into a store and get cheap quality pods. That's the point. It's not like I'd rather do seeds. Seeds in bulk are way stronger than seeds in pods btw. I honestly don't know why either. The seeds in pods are almost completely useless accept for growing.

@TAXavier Sadly, for me at least, that is no longer true here in NZ. As I mentioned, they're high yielding thebaine poppies now, as opposed to once being high yield morphine. Grrr... Glaxo and their ilk. Not that they'd give a damn because although the seed were once a great cash bringing by-product (ostensibly sold as baking spice or additive), they have thebaine, which means all manner of semi-synthetic opioid. Morphine et al are scarcely of interest when they have fentanyl and oxycodone.
