  • With a suicide grip? You've got bigger balls than me doing that, but thumbs up for the clean ass lift.

  • 'Atta boy! Good lift.

  • that was ridiculous man, such a slow descent and crazy power at the bottom....animallll....question though, have you ever had a shoulder injury?

  • Very nice Joe. What is your 1 rep max at now since this was 2 years ago?

  • I dont know right now, but I bench 405 for 4 right now and I am pushing for 1 more rep each month to get to 9 reps at 405lbs. I am training for a contest in July and I want to go for 500lbs. If it is the LORDS will, I will not it out and give GOD the Glory!!

    AMEN!!

  • @pboozer57 THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!!

  • any tips on increasing your bench? im still stuck 300-315.

  • @mitch20003 THANK YOU FOR ASKING ME. I AM HONORED. I USE THE METHOD OF PERCENTAGE TRAINING. FOR 10 WEEKS WORKOUT WITH 65% OF YOUR 1 REP MAX FOR 2 WEEKS FOR 4 SETS FOR 5 REPS. THEN GO TO 70% FOR 2 WEEKS FOR 3 SETS REPS OF 4. THEN 75% 1 WEEK FOR 3 SET OF 3 REPS. THEN 80% FOR 3 SETS OF 2 REPS. THEN REPEAT THE CYCLE FOR 5 WEEKS AGAIN! TRY IT AND LET ME KNOW HOW YOU DO. MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU SAFE AND PROSPER IN YOU TRAINING PEACE AND GOD BLESS YOU.

  • Oh, please, tell me where I can get the shirt you're wearing?

  • @Chiefontheditty Thanks for your question!

I got it a place called steve and barrys. they sold all the college team stuff $9.98 plus stuff like these T-shirts. They closed the store here in Buffalo at the galeria mall but maybe they have stores else where. Google them you might find one.

Let me know if you find one. I would love to order something else from them.

    Peace and God Bless!!

  • Joe the videos inspire me to get into some decent training rather than just routine fitness. Approaching 58 years of age I did a 275 lb. 40-degree incline (no arch) just the other day with some power left at a weight of 240 lbs. I am 6.3 and my arm span is over 6.5 ½ so I have a long way to push but the inspiration I received from your video has really helped me. My goal is a 300 pound 40-degree incline before 60 years of age.

  • @Weh1921 Thank You! And I only hope and pray that I can lift like you when I turn 58 & 60 years of age. I'm inspired by you!!!!! So please let me know how your training goes. I use the 5 pound a week approach for 6 weeks. I add 5lbs a week for 6 weeks to my to bench until I plateau at a 1 rep max and then I work with 70% of that weight until I can do at least 6-8 reps then I start over again adding 5 pounds a week. I pray that you will be successful in your training and stay strong & healthy.

  • Joe- I am 57 yars of age weigh about 240 at 6.3 and can 40 degree incline 245x3 for several sets in strict form. Any suggestions to help me increase this weight. I have never used any steriod or growth hormone but have creatine from time to time.

    You lifting is excellent!!!

  • @Weh1921 THANK YOU! I hope to be strong like you when I'm 60! GOD BLESS YOU! Try adding 5lbs a week to your bench for 6 weeks until you plateau at a one rep max. Then workout with 70% of your 1 rep max until you can rep it for 5 good reps. Then start the cycle over again and let me know how your training goes. I pray that you hit your goal by your next Birthday! May the Lord keep you strong and healthy for many more years. PEACE AND GOD BLESS YOU!!

  • So god did ALL the work? I guess you dont deserve any credit for that lift. (sarcasm).

  • nice job joe ;)

you will hit 500 sooner or later man.

  • you broke a record eh, what weight class did you compete in?

  • 308lbs Raw masters 40-44 age group. I weighed in at 290lbs. The record was 460lbs with a shirt and after talking with the meet director he said if I wanted to go for the record I could. So JESUS & I Benched Raw & broke a record set by someone who used a shirt. The video is up now, but it is dark. I'm trying to figure out if I can edit a video and make it lighter but I don't know how. THANKS AND GOD BLESS!!!
