i think this was a great interview, and agree with Adam's view about how gay cliche is perpetuated in the (US) media, where we only see non-threatening hairdressers/interior designers/fashion guru/etc. who seemingly don't have a sexual side at all.

What we have learned in the past from things like the women's movement is that we have to go from one extreme to the other in order to make a clean break early on when we have big changes. Then, later, once things have calmed down and everyone is used to the change, we can go back to the middle ground.
