  • This is bullshit. Everyone releases insulins following the presence of sugar or it's anolgoes in the mouth. It's called cephalic phase insulin release and happens in organisms including mice and dogs. However, if no calories are consumed none can be stored so drinking diet soda cannot make you gain weight. It can however make you hungry which in turn could increase energy intake

It could kick your body into storage mode for sugar already present in your bloodstream...the stress of her life plays a role as well; this tricks your body into thinking it is in a "stressed" situation - evoluntionarily speaking, stress situations were related to needing energy at that moment...like running from an animal...increased cortisol causes the liver to release glycogen to meet the "fake" energy demands...and your body reacts by storing it as fat when the muscles dont use it

  • @errol81

Read Robb Wolf's book and Doug McGuff's book; even Loren Cordain's book...all explain this very well and very easy to understand.

They all cite numerous studies and all have medical backgrounds and years of research to support their "claims".

Only recently are humans actually understanding that the way our lives have been lived over the past 10,000 years (even worse recently) have lead to and caused almost all Western diseases known to us.
