What I'd like to see is the Animal Barrel from DKC2, that turns you into Yoshi. And then the No Yoshi sign where Yoshi disappears when going across.

I'm the only one (propably) which doesn't want to credit you for that. I made my our version before you published you. But doesn't matter. My version uses both LevelASM and patch (to modify internal routlines). If certain RAM value it set Yoshi mode is active.

WYE said in the ASM file that this basically makes Mario invisible, disables the A button throughout the level and enables Yoshi to take "real" damage.

So the normal things will still happen- Yoshi sprites will not show up if one is still in the level, different sprites will appear from eggs, head will glitch up when a Podoboo/Baby Yoshi sprite appears, etc.
