AA is not a porting problem. the graphic engine (UE3) use deferred lightening and it cant use AA..in every case you can force AA & dx10, but the performance slow down

i run this with 4870 in crossfire :) still the two 4870 in crossfire isn't as fast as one 4870x2 it stills run smooth, with smooth i mean 55-60 fps :D

Back 2 years ago that would be correct, lately that isn't really the case anymore. Textures on xbox and ps3 are seriously outdated compared to what pc can handle for a decent price.

this game has what's called an art-style. yes, it doesnt look realistic, that's the point. its supposed to look like a comic book or a cartoon.

and the gameplay's not for everybody, i admit, but it's really fun with friends (which if you dont have any, that's too bad for you)

a ps3"s graphics card is only a geforce 7800 oc.

so think about it.

you can easily make a rig that can blow ps3 or xcox 360

yea but borderlands on ps3 doesn't constantly crash saying something about a "general protection fault". as much as i wanted to play borderlands on the pc since it runs great normally, the console versions are the win for me. though i kinda wish i hadn't gotten the ps3 version since i know nobody who plays this game on there. i would've gotten better luck with the 360.

but i swear, i've gotten ripped off on borderlands, left 4 dead 2, and dragon age. all of them constantly crashing. sad panda.

what is setup? maybe your computer need an update on the drivers or a hardware upgrade

i've done everything you can possibly do driver wise. all sorts of different builds.

athlon x2 6000+

radeon HD 4830 512mb

2gb ddr 800 ram

windows 7 64bit

with dragon age i can get by if i declock my video card, framerate drops quite a bit though. borderlands requires me to turn off one of my cores, near slideshow framerate. left 4 dead 2 fared better after turning off multicore rendering but, after 3 chapters it'll crash at a random point.

i did install borderlands on my moms laptop. an alienware laptop my dad bought her for christmas. runs the game at 1080p wonderfully. no crashes. shes rockin a core i7 2ghz with a geforce GTXm 260 with 3gb ram on windows 7 64bit.

@twistedkatana1 I didn had any single error on Borderlands for almost 1 year of playing (except first time I didnt had nVidia physx installed and second time enter on my keyboard was sticked, so it lunched a game couple of hundreds of times so I had to reboot my PC)

a console, no! only if u played witha console your when you were young. Trust me i tried that option to have a console over a PC and it was shit cause of the graphics of the controller expensive game and more! The controllers are just shit compared to a keyboard and mouse.

i play on the system that gives me an enjoyable experience. nowadays that is the console. unless i'm playing a valve game or theres some stupidly good special on steam, i've gotten it down mentally to buy the console versions. besides, theres achievements. also, theres no heavy rain on pc. that game is just utterly amazing.
