I've loved Carlin, Hicks and Kinison my whole life. I only discovered Stanhope about two years ago, and he instantly became a favorite. It's a shame he's not as well known as Carlin was. He's the only comedian out there today who's really telling it like it is now that Carlin's gone. Anyway, I'm going to see Doug in November. Can't wait!

went to see stanhope, met him, fucking hilarious very nice guy, "nihilist" types seem to get along better than idealistic folk
