This is what happened. He was at a party, got drunk and had sex with someone and he woke up and his partner was not there. That is why he is naked and looks like that
Absolutely brilliant.....never seen anything like it..his eyes look to be following that woman. The close ups of face and body are staggering...I would love to see a Southern California exhibition at any time!
This is amazing in person. I saw it the Hirshhorn Sculpture Museum in D.C.. As I walked into the downstairs gallery, there he was in the left corner........CREEPY! He makes you pause in your tracks.
I was lucky to be able to see him, as a complete surprise. Amazing art work. Scary thing is that he never looks you into the eye, where ever you are standing.
Could have used a little more stretch in the skin that's pressed against the hand but other than that, this piece looks amazing. Wish I could see it in real life.
What camera are you using?

Usually, when I go to a sculpture museum I feel like sculptures look real from far away, and fake when I get close...
With this video I was thinking "Hmm it doesn't look that real" then the camera zoomed in and I was like WHOA A REAL DUDE!

Words can never express the wonderful likeness to the human form. For all intense purpose it looks like someone has been frozen in time.

God you'd think it's real. If you walked into the museum, and that was the first thing you saw, rounding the corner?
Holy hell. :-)

That is awesome. The expression on his face reminds me of one of my old teachers.

I just created a mini site to help people find Ron Mueck's exhibit schedule. Go to Squidoo dot com then search on the term Ron Mueck.
