The film was a disaster. Singularly unfunny. Sent out the totally wrong message. Did a lot of damage to a very serious issue. It's not correct either to suggest all environmentalists support this film. Some might but the ones I personally know were disgusted by it.

It's crazy to claim CO2 doesn't affect climate. It's exactly what's caused warmer periods in the earth's history (as orbit variations melt permafrost and release CO2 trapping more heat). Problem is due to our emissions CO2 concentration is now higher than its been in the past 650,000 years and shooting up. This is causing an unnatural and rapid (in earth terms) temp increase unprecedented in human history. Messing with our atmosphere in this way is a very risky experiment.

i dont see why people get so outraged over things such as this when there are films out there such as Children of the Corn that involves murder towards children. These are films that most people dont watch. If you dont watch these kind of films then why bother argueing with it? Let the people do what they want. Besides, it's just a film. I watched Children of the Corn on VHS back in 1993, and immediately wrote an angry letter to my local newspaper complaining about the content. It didn't get published, I guess cause the film was 9 years old then, still, I think that qualifies me to complain about this ad by the standards of consistency you have proposed.
Plus, I think there is a difference between fictional movies and political ads in regard to reasonable responses to their content.

It's crazy to claim CO2 doesn't affect climate. It's exactly what's caused warmer periods in the earth's history (as orbit variations melt permafrost and release CO2 trapping more heat). Problem is due to our emissions CO2 concentration is now higher than its been in the past 650,000 years and shooting up. This is causing an unnatural and rapid (in earth terms) temp increase unprecedented in human history. Messing with our atmosphere in this way is a very risky experiment.

YES climate change is a natural phenomenon, the RATE at which it is doing so is accelerasted by human activity such as taking CO2 from the ground and putting it in the air. But I posted my emotional response to this video. And I believe the makers of this video would have predicted my response - extreme irrational emotion. So what was the purpose of the video? This is barely funny at all, blowing people up in front of a group of people like this just because they aren't really environment friendly or whatever is more of a blackmail. And if this ain't censored this might traumatize children and probably not want to participate in these kinds of campaigns. This ain't gonna work at all. He was a Marxist in his youth but I do not think he is one now. This is shown even by the fraudulent data of the CRU at the University of East Anglia (which was altered to give a warming bias). If you do not believe me then contact them and ask them - or better still look out of the window and see for yourself. So ice prooves warming! really, get a life!!!
