  • Point1: Keep your elbows closer to your sides. Keep your palms flat stretched open so that each of your fingers completely touch the floor. Keep your palms around 3-4 inches wide or closer if you can.

    Point2: When you come down, Glide yourself to go forward and not just shoulder comes down and pushed back up.

    Point3: When you go back to up position, focus and contract your core abs.

  • Back when I exercise all the time, I used to be able to do 65 press ups in 30 seconds. Then I discovered Hindu Press Ups, and collapsed halfway through my 28th rep. An incredibly dynamic and effective exercise.

  • actually this comprises steps 4,5,6 of the "sashtang-namaskar". which is of total 8 steps.

    this is defined in yoga. and believe me it works fine. doing normal push ups will build your chest but this will make whole body. and if you do the whole 8 steps for around 1-2 months you will get awesome results. it will take more time than cardio-gym to get slim but it is light.

    Do 3 sets of 15 reps for start.n most importantly control ur breathing. slow breathing work better. look all 8 steps on net.

  • no i dont exactly remember. but sashtang means "eight body parts". and namskar means respect/salute etc.

  • lol these are easy well im indian so i meditate alot i do this everyday..it takes practice but trust me they can really make your body toned it gave me skinnier arms,thighs and toned abs :D

  • o-m-g my dad does his push ups like that and i used to make fun of him because it looked hilarious compared to the "traditional push up" that i knew! in bangladesh they do the "hindu pushups", its the only kind of push up they know.
